"I wasn't trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right."
Dean Smith

But he wasn't trying to all he wanted was for his team do good. He didn't let them say bad words or none of that in practice or in a game or they'll be consequences. This quote is saying if you choose do something right somehow it will repay you. After, you are going to be proud of what  you have done or accomplish. So always try to do the best in life.

"Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all."
Aristotle
I think this quote is saying without education you won't succeed. Being educated in the mind only won't change your life. Being educated in the heart is knowing what is right from wrong. Being educated in the heart and mind is when you know when something is not right. When you know right from wrong you are highly educated in the mind and heart.

"Choosing the right is always the right thing to do."
Alex Linares
This statement by Alex Linares is saying choosing the right is always the correct thing to do. He didn't sometimes, most of the time but ALWAYS. If you always choose to the right thing in life, your life will reward you. But, if you choose the wrong there will be consequences in your life. You will feel guilty about it. So always, think before you act. Sometimes, choosing the wrong will sound like a good thing in your mind but in reality is can be the worse thing ever. For example, if you fight in school you are the choosing the wrong. Fighting in school isn't a good thing. You will have consequences. You can get suspended, or expelled. Your parents will be disappointed in you for fighting in school. So always choose the right because its better.

"It's better to be alone than to be in bad company."
Anon
This statement is saying its better to be on your own then to be with someone who only gives bad influences. Its better to depend on yourself because there will be people who will put you down instead of helping you rise. Its better to be alone if the people you hang out with just cause you problems or get you in trouble. For example, if the group of friends you hang out with do drugs and drink and you know its wrong then don't hang with them and be on your own. If the groups of friends don't help you succeed then they aren't your real friends.

"You cannot do wrong and feel right. It is impossible."
Ezra T. Benson
What Ezra T. Benson is quoting here is you cant do something wrong and feel happy about it. It's impossible to feel happy or feel good about yourself knowing you did something wrong. For example, if you steal from a store, at the moment you are going to satisfied you stole whatever it was. But, after days, weeks, or months  you will feel guilty about it. Your conscience isn't going to feel the same. You wont be the same person after knowing you did something wrong. That is just impossible to feel happy of doing the wrong thing.

"I think better to do right, even if we suffer in so doing, than to incur the reproach of our consciences."
Robert E. Lee
I think this statement is saying he will always do the right thing even if it's difficult. He would rather want to suffer than to feel guilty for what he did. Your conscience will always remind you of what you did wrong and remind you of what you could of done right. For example, if a kid sees others doing drugs in a restroom in a school, he should go and tell an adult. Yeah maybe the other kids will punk on him for snitching but at the end he will feel good about himself. His conscience wont feel guilty. So always do right even if its difficult.

"Tell me what is right and i will fight for it."
Woodrow Wilson
I think what Woodrow Wilson is saying in this quote is he will always choose the right. He'll fight for the right even if it's difficult. He will fight for the right even if it's easier to do the wrong. For example, if a person who does drugs knows is wrong and can affect your health but yet he/she does them. They'll fight for the right to stop even if it's hard. Even if its addicting but they want to do whats wrong right they will fight to stop!!

"The right way is not always the popular and easy way. Standing for right when it is unpopular is a true test of moral character."
Margaret Chase Smith
This quote is saying the right way isnt fun to do or choose. But, its the best thing to do. When you do the right you have a better life. You won't have consequences about it. Nothing! For example, if you see someone at school doing something wrong, and you know the right is to tell an adult. But you don't want to because you know others will call you a "snitch". Well who cares being honest and choosing the right is hard but its the best thing you can do.When you do the right someone will reward you for it. So always choose the right even if it isn't fun.

When i'm at mexico time passes by so fast. I love mexico because i have more freedom than i have here. I get to go outside and just be with my friends hanging around. I get to to concerts with my cousins because it isn't expensive like it is here. I get to out to other places than usual. If anybody would ever ask where is favorite place in the world it would be in my little ranch San Isidro, Salvatierra Guanajuato. I also like it because thats where i bond the most with my mom.                 My Experience So Far At HPIAM
My experience so far at HPIAM has been great. I’m a freshman here. It hasn’t been a long since I have been here but I have love each and every day of it. The first day I was here it was nervous and maybe a little scared. I thought it was going to be something different from my middle school years but it wasn’t. It’s the same thing like middle school but with much bigger kids. My teachers are great. They know how to explain and teach an assignment really good. They have a lot of sports and clubs that anybody can join. Unfortunely, I haven’t joined anything yet. I want to join basketball though. HPIAM is a great school; most of your teachers know you are. Even the principal knows who I am! What I really like about this school that every teacher wants the best for you and they help you in everything you need. They don’t give up on us. If we are failing a class they come and talk to you to see how they can help you get better. Nobody gets left behind. That’s what I like. This school has a lot of spirit too. The spirit weeks are fun. The football games are really exciting and many people come and support the team. I also like this school because it’s calm. Other kids are nice to you. Some of the seniors even give us freshman’s tips on how we could do well in school. HPIAM also helps you get prepared for college; most of the teachers are strict because they want us to be ready for college. Everyone is respectful, and kind. Nobody gives me bad looks or nothing like that. My experience has been great here. I really enjoy being at this school. I hope I get to spend my other years of high school here in HPIAM.

“There is no justification ever for choosing any part of what you know to be evil.”
Ayn Rand

What this quote is saying is if you know something is wrong but yet you do it, nothing can justify you for you doing it. It’s better to do the right thing and know why you did it. Then, doing something bad and can’t justify why you did it. For example, if you steal nothing can justify why you did it. You have no reason to do it because it’s wrong. Always choose the right instead of the wrong. The wrong always has consequences.
