This quote is saying it will take the little things you do to succeed. You won't succeed with just doing something once. It takes time to achieve your goal. Don't rush things to get to what you want because sometimes it can go wrong.

Recreational Therapists

            Recreational Therapists

Duties and Responsibilities:

       Recreational therapists plan, direct, and coordinate recreation-based treatment programs for people with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses. Recreational therapists help people reduce depression, stress, and anxiety; recover basic physical and mental abilities; build confidence; and socialize effectively. They help people with disabilities integrate into the community by teaching them how to use community resources and recreational activities. They assess patients' needs through observations, medical records, tests, and talking with other healthcare professionals, patients’ families, and patients.

Salary: 42,280 

   Education:

 Most recreational therapists need a bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy or a related field. But, associate’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees are also available. Recreational therapy programs include courses in assessment, human anatomy, medical and psychiatric terminology, characteristics of illnesses and disabilities, and the use of assertive devices and technology. Bachelor’s degree programs usually include an internship.

This quote by William Penn is saying if you know the correct thing but everyone is against it, do what your heart tells you to do because later you can regret it for following the crowd. Don't do something that you know is wrong just because others are doing it. If you know something is wrong try and stop others from doing it. Others may be up for doing something that is going to have consequences, don't do it if you know it's wrong. For example, if all your friends smoke, thinking they won't get sick from it but you know it will, stop yourself from following others. Yes, they may peer pressure you but there are other alternatives to saying no. 

X-Ray Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

            Radiologic Technologists use x-ray machines, ultrasound machines, magnetic resonance scanners, positron emission scanners, and other technologically advanced machines to help diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries under the direction of a physician.  They place the equipment at the right distance and right angle from the patient to make the appropriate images for the physician. Radiographers also assist physicians in performing sophisticated procedures. They work in hospitals, clinics, medical laboratories, nursing homes, and in private industry.

Salary: $ 24,000 - $36,000                                               

Educational Requirements:

          Students should take the most challenging science, math, and English courses available in high school. To become a registered radiologic technologist, students must complete a two year training program in a hospital or school.  A high school diploma or GED certificate is required to enter into these programs.

You'll know when to do the correct thing because your conscience will be calm about it. You won't feel guilty or worried that consequences will happen. People who do the right thing never think if it's safe, they will know if it is safe or not.

          Students prepare for a career in psychology by taking the most challenging (AP or IB) high school courses available, especially in English and science. Clinical psychologists must complete a two-year supervised internship after earning their doctorate and pass oral and written state qualifying exams. School psychologists must earn at least a master's degree.

            Psychiatrists are physicians who specialize in the problems of mental illness. Psychiatrists may work for the government, have their own private practice, or work in hospitals, clinics, or universities.  Their duties include:

Educational Requirements:

  Students need a degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine. Psychiatrists must complete an intensive three year residency in psychiatry.

Psychiatric Aide – Technician

                 

Duties and Responsibilities:

            Psychiatric aides and technicians help care for mentally ill, disabled, or infirm people who are confined to hospitals, mental facilities, and residential care facilities. They often work in hospitals, social service centers, crisis centers, schools, and substance abuse facilities.  Psychiatric technicians usually have more formal training and responsibilities than aides.  Psychiatric aides and technicians often:

• Help patients bathe, dress, and eat
• Escort patients to and from wards or clinics
• Aid or restrain patients
• Teach daily living skills
• Observe patients and report their actions to professionals

Education:

Psychiatric aides need not always have a high school diploma or formal training, however most employers prefer that they do.

Psychiatric technicians need a high school diploma and should have taken courses in English and science.  A short training course or previous job experience as a psychiatric aide is often also required.

Determination is being hard work ethic, being positive, having confidence and being excited about it. Nothing is impossible in this world. Everything is possible and this quote gives us the idea how. You just need to have determination! For example if you are an average B student but wants straight A's it can happen as long as you are determined and motivated about it. Getting straight A's isnt difficult unless you pay no attention to it. 

Pharmacy Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

          Pharmacy technicians work under the supervision of pharmacist. Their main responsibility is to fill in prescriptions according to the doctor’s order for the patient. They add drugs to circulatory solutions. All of their prescription filling work is rechecked by a pharmacist before medications are dispensed to patients or customers.  Other duties of pharmacy technicians are:

• Checking inventories and ordering supplies.
• Receiving and checking in supplies
• Waiting on customers
• Keep pharmacy work areas clean
• Helping fill out insurance form

Pharmacy technicians work in retail pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and some large industrial complexes.

Salary: $15,000 - $25,000    

Education:

Students should take math, science (especially chemistry), and typing courses in high school. A high school diploma is usually required to begin pharmacy technician training.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Pharmacists prepare prescriptions written by physicians, dentist, and other practitioners. They review this prescription for accuracy and then they prepare the medication. This can involve weighing, measuring, and mixing drugs. Pharmacists then dispense it and give it to the customer/ patient. Are in charge of restocking over the counter medicines. Provide assistance to patients by explaining certain medications. Pharmacists work in hospitals, clinics, health departments, universities, and grocery, drug, and discount stores.

Average Salary: $33,000- $51,000         

Education:

 High school students should take the most challenging classes in English, math, and science. Pharmacists must graduate from a college of pharmacy.  Most pharmacy schools require applicants to take the Pharmacy College Admissions Test and some require up to two years of pre-pharmacy education. About 5 years to earn a pharmaceutical degree.
