My Weekend

During my weekend i did many things. On saturday i went to my bestfriends birthday party. It was pretty fun, i got to spend time with him and some other close friends. I wanted to dance but everybody was shy to dance. On Sunday i went to San Pedro. I got to eat seafood. I love seafood! I went with my family so it was a good day. We got on a boat tour, it was the greatest experience ever. Im still scared of boat rides because of Titanic. Sunday night, i went to see the movie Ride ALong with my brother. I have been wanting to watch that movie and i finally got to see it. It was such a funny movie. My weekend was pretty amazing. 

Ophthalmologist

               

Duties and Responsibilities:

          Ophthalmologists specialize in treatment of eye disorders and diseases. They treat visions problems with prescription. They also perform eye surgery if it’s necessary. Most ophthalmologists work in private practices, however some do work in hospitals and clinics.

Average Salary: $90,000 - $150,000                         

Education:

          Only physicians can study to become ophthalmologists. After completing medical school and an internship, an ophthalmologist must then complete a three to five year residency in an ophthalmology program.

I wouldnt like to be an ophthalmologists because it isnt something that catches my attention. Also, i wouldnt think i would trust myself to do eye surgery.

If someone expects you to graduate from high school than, you graduate from high school but make a higher standard of what you're going to do. Never have excuses of not reaching a goal, or standard that you made. Anyone can achieve anything in life if you actually go after it. Make yourself responsible for reaching these goals. Do something that others never thought you could have done. For example, if nobody thinks you can graduate from high school, prove them wrong. Complete a goal nobody thought you would do. Always go for higher standards, than what others have of you. I promise you, they will be achieved by you. Just

dont make excuses of it and be motivated!!

Duties and Responsibilities:

          Ophthalmic Technicians help ophthalmologists collect data and measurements to allow the correct diagnosis and treatments of eye diseases and problems. They work at hospitals, clinics or ophthalmologists in work in private practice. Their responsibilities often are:

·        Doing simple eye exams

·        Assisting with eye surgery

·        Explaining diagnostic and treatment procedures to patients.    

Salary: $14,000 - $25,000

Education:

         Students need a high school diploma or GED certificate and two years of college prior to beginning ophthalmic training programs. 

I wouldnt like to be a ophthalmic technician because it isnt what i want to do when i grow up. Also, it isnt something that will interest me in life.

This quote is saying you get what you set. If you have a goal and set it at your main goal, you will achieve that goal! It isn't just setting goals. You have to go after your goals and make it happen. You are reaching your dreams. If you achieve one goal, you will definitely achieve more! It just takes dedication. Nothing is ever impossible! It can be difficult and there can obstacles, but you can always achieve it. If you set a goal, don't stop until you reached it. You should always set goals and go after them because thats the motivation to know you can become anything in this world. Some goals are difficult to achieve even years to happen, but one should never give up.

Progress Report

I haven't done any progress in my goals. I haven't done any progress because most of goals are when im bigger and i have good career and good money to achieve my goals. Most of my goals are long term goals. The only short term goal i am working on is my straight A's. This goal i had worked really hard on. My first semester of 9th grade i did achieve and got my straight A's. This second semester  i hope i get my straight A's again! It takes time to achieve this goal. But, with dedication i know i will achieve it again. All  i have to do is not slack off, do all my assignments, study for test, and get good scores on any quiz or exam. 

Operating Room Technician

                    Operating Room Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

          Operating room technician are also called surgical technicians or surgical technologists. They assist in preparing operating rooms for surgery. They assist doctors in surgeries by giving them the instruments needed. They are responsible for having surgical instruments, sterile bandages and linens, needed fluids, and other equipment ready for the operation. They deliver specimens to hospital laboratories for analysis, and after operations they take patients to the recovery room.

Salary: $16,000 - $22,000                                     

Education:

          It is required to have a High School Diploma or a GED certificate. Some colleges offer programs in operating room technology. These programs are about a year or two years. They receive training in medical terminologists, physiology and sterilization methods. Students must pass an examination by the Association of Surgical Technologists to become certified.

I would like to be an operating room technician because I would like to work in operating rooms and helping doctors in surgeries.
