Student Success Statement
"We become what we think about."
Earl Nightingale

This quote is saying whatever you want to be in life you can become it if you just think about it everyday. For example, if you want to graduate from high school you can achieve it if you think about it everyday. That will let you know what you have to do to become it. If you want to become nothing in life you will be nothing in life because,  you don't want to choose to do anything in life. If you think about the right and positives things in life you will achieve positive things in life. Dreams can become true in life if thats all you think about that you want to achieve later in life.

"CTR connects you to happiness and success. CTW disconnects you."
Mr. Haymore
This quote is saying when you choose the right or in other case CTR you will always succeed in life. Choosing the right is the best thing you can do. You will always feel happy and proud about what you have succeed in life. When you choose the wrong you will never succeed in life. You will have consequences in your life. You will regret things that you have done in the past. So always choose the right. For example, if you choose the wrong and still you will feel happy at that moment. But, after you will feel guilty for stealing and you wont be the same.

"Choosing the right is always the right thing to do."
Alex Linares
This statement by Alex Linares is saying choosing the right is always the correct thing to do. He didn't sometimes, most of the time but ALWAYS. If you always choose to the right thing in life, your life will reward you. But, if you choose the wrong there will be consequences in your life. You will feel guilty about it. So always, think before you act. Sometimes, choosing the wrong will sound like a good thing in your mind but in reality is can be the worse thing ever. For example, if you fight in school you are the choosing the wrong. Fighting in school isn't a good thing. You will have consequences. You can get suspended, or expelled. Your parents will be disappointed in you for fighting in school. So always choose the right because its better.

"It's better to be alone than to be in bad company."
Anon
This statement is saying its better to be on your own then to be with someone who only gives bad influences. Its better to depend on yourself because there will be people who will put you down instead of helping you rise. Its better to be alone if the people you hang out with just cause you problems or get you in trouble. For example, if the group of friends you hang out with do drugs and drink and you know its wrong then don't hang with them and be on your own. If the groups of friends don't help you succeed then they aren't your real friends.

"I think better to do right, even if we suffer in so doing, than to incur the reproach of our consciences."
Robert E. Lee
I think this statement is saying he will always do the right thing even if it's difficult. He would rather want to suffer than to feel guilty for what he did. Your conscience will always remind you of what you did wrong and remind you of what you could of done right. For example, if a kid sees others doing drugs in a restroom in a school, he should go and tell an adult. Yeah maybe the other kids will punk on him for snitching but at the end he will feel good about himself. His conscience wont feel guilty. So always do right even if its difficult.

“There is no justification ever for choosing any part of what you know to be evil.”
Ayn Rand

What this quote is saying is if you know something is wrong but yet you do it, nothing can justify you for you doing it. It’s better to do the right thing and know why you did it. Then, doing something bad and can’t justify why you did it. For example, if you steal nothing can justify why you did it. You have no reason to do it because it’s wrong. Always choose the right instead of the wrong. The wrong always has consequences.

The Sting Of The Scorpion
The video i just saw was about a boy who disobeyed his parents and was sting by a scorpion. The little boy was told to wear his shoes because he might find dangerous animals in the desert. But instead of wearing his shoes he put his flip flops and was sting by a scorpion. The lesson of this is always listen to your parents because the only thing they want to do is protect you. There is always one person who is going to look out for you. So dont choose the wrong because you just want to be bad. If you choose the right thing nothing bad will ever occur to you.

"In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing."
Theodore Roosevelt
What Theodore Roosevelt is saying here is when you need to make a decision always choose the right thing. For example, if someone is someone tells you to try smoking the best thing you can do is say "NO" or walk away because you know smoking isn't good for you. When you do choose the right thing it makes a change in your life. You will feel good about it. Instead of feeling disappointed of doing the wrong. If you're in a moment when you cant make the correct decision, first think if it seems right or if it seems wrong. When you choose the wrong you will feel guilty.

"Every time i've done something that doesn't feel right, it's ended up not being right."
Mario Cuomo
This statement is saying when you feel something is wrong its because it is wrong. For example, when you talk back to your mom/dad, teacher, or any adult you may feel its wrong but at the end it is wrong. Your mind knows when you are doing something that is right or wrong. When something is right you feel good about it. When something is wrong you feel guilty or horrible about. You always will know from right and wrong.

"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me."
Carol Burnett
This quote is saying no one else makes my decisions but me. I choose my own life and what i want to do. If im a good person and i always do the right thing nobody will try and change my life. If I choose to do wrong no one will help choose the right. I need to do know whats right from wrong. The only person who will make a change in my life is me. Only I can fix my mistakes and problems. For example, if a person is addicted to drugs. He/she is the only one who can make a change of it. No one will help him/her try to stop. Its the person decision and life.

"When I do good, I feel good.
When I do bad, I feel bad."
Abraham Lincoln
Reflection: What Abraham Lincoln is stating here is when you do something good you always feel good about it. For example, if you see someone getting bullied and you stand up for them. Later you will feel happy and fascinated that you help someone who was getting hurt. Also just by having a good character and being nice to people you will feel good about that. When you do bad you will feel guilty the rest of your life. For example, if you steal you will always feel guilty. If you see the police you are going to think they are after you. You can also have bad dreams. Your conscience will never be same after you know you did something terrible. So its better to do good then bad. Always do right, instead of wrong.

"To know what is right and not to do it is the worst cowardice."
Confucius

This quote is saying that if you know something is right but yet you don't do it, it can be the dumbest thing ever. If you know something is right why don't you follow it. Don't do what is wrong when you know the right thing. That can be the dumbest thing you can do. And in life you will have consequences. For example, if you know you don't suppose to steal, then don't do it. You will end up getting caught, you will have consequences and you will regret it. So if you know  something is right then do it. Don't do the wrong.
