Paul Bear Bryant 

Paul Bear Bryant was born September 11, 1913. He played football at the University of Alabama, Tuscalooosa. Paul Bear Bryant had served in World War II. After he became the head coach in the universities of Maryland and Texas. He also coached at the University of Alabama. He did a record of his team getting 323 wins. He also recruited the first black player. Paul had wrestled a bear to get money but he never got paid. That's how he got his nickname "Bear".  Paul Bear died on January 16, 1983. At the age of 69.
