This quote is saying that school is very important. You should follow school rules because they either help you or give you consequences. School can be fun if you follow school rules and staying away from trouble. Some rules can be dumb to people but its the way it helps you that counts. For example, a school rule is to always wear your uniform. They tell us this because they don't want anybody to feel less because of what they wea. Also, so some won't be judged by others just because they have nicer clothes. So, just follow school rules because it will influence you later.
