This quote is saying when you choose to do the right thing you get rewarded. You get self-respect, integrity, dignity and self-esteem. When you choose the right you feel good about yourself and you are proud for achieving the right thing. If you were to choose the wrong you will never be okay with it. You would feel guilty about yourself. Others wont respect you, not even yourself will respect you. You will have guilty mind until you do the right thing. You will have bad conscience that won't let you be happy.
